„Hack“ the city’s design and functions
Imagine if it was possible to skate on the bike paths of winter? Or getting light therapy while waiting for the bus? Reprogramming the City is a global concept created by the American urban strategist Scott Burnham. The aim is to find ways to reprogram the city, to show how design and architecture can help solve urban problems. In ArkDes you can in the summer to experience the city in a way you never did before.
The exhibition presents some forty projects all explores how it is possible to „hack“ the city's design and functions. The idea comes from Scott Burnham's conviction that the city is full of untapped opportunities which, with resourcefulness and initiative can be converted into concrete solutions based on the existing environment.
