LOUIS LÜTHI is known as a book designer and writer based in Amsterdam. In addition to working on publications in clo-se collaboration with artists, he is the author of On the Self-Reflexive Page (2010), Infant A (2012), A Die with Twenty-Six Faces (2019) and, in collaboration with Kasper Andreasen, The Preparator (2016). As well he designs the visual identy of GAK Bremen. As a teacher at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, LÜTHI encourages students to view writing as a potentially integral part of their design practice especially as a springboard for innovative forms of visual-verbal inqui-ry. Since LÜTHI’s own work focuses on the relation between writing and typography, he often tries to blur the distinctions between writing, editing and designing. Thoughtful. Playful. Welcome!
